One might think that what might be the similarities between these two things which seems to be from exactly opposite world,one is about the enrichment of the inner soul and it’s connection with heavenly spirit,and the other is about the outer physical world.“In fact science and spirituality are the two chapters of the same book or two sides of the same coin”.What made me state the above statement is the knowledge I gained from whatever I read or seen about science and spirituality.

Now,let me prove  the sentence which I stated above.Any book on spirituality or religion,it may be Vedas, Upanishds, Bible, Quran etc.,speak about mainly two things.One thing is, about  how the universe came into existence or how the universe is created,about supreme spiritual power behind it,about heavenly spirit.And the second thing is, about our duties to achieve spiritual enlightenment,about making connection with heavenly spirit,about soul.But what about science and it’s connection with spirituality?Now a days two different branches of  science are evolving with rapid pace.One is medical science and other is modern physics and quantum mechanics.Next two paragraphs speaks about these two branches and it’s connection with spirituality.

First of all,medical science.Today’s medical science has progressed so much that it can cure almost any disease human can have.We can create a clone of any living creature.But still we don’t know much about soul whether it resides in our body or not, about brain and how it works, about dreams,reincarnation and the memories of past life.There are  thousands of cases of people staying in different parts of the world remembering their past life,and so many doctors are researching on that.Even researchers, who do not believe in the existence of soul and believe that every living creature  is made up of certain molecules and DNAs put in certain conditions, can not create any tiny creature like mosquitoes.There are so many things from our ancient teachings like yoga,meditation which prove the existence some infinite power within a body.Ayurveda,the ancient medical science speak about so many diseases and curing methods and even about soul.The modern research in medical science goes in the direction of inner spirit.

The other branch of science i.e. modern physics and cosmology speaks about creation of universe, about heavenly spirit and about cosmic energy.Does God exists?Is the universe created or is it eternal?Is there any supreme power governing the universe?These are the questions in minds of all modern day physicists and cosmologists.Einstein made the base of this thinking with his general theory of relativity.He spoke about multiple dimensions, about unified field theory, about cosmic energy.Unified field theory is about combining all the universal forces i.e.gravitational force,strong and weak nuclear forces and electromagnetic force.Einstein spent about 30 years of his life researching on this theory.Today there is so much research going on to find all the answers of the universe and about where we came from.

These are the branches of the modern science which are researching about spirit that may be heavenly or inner.Answers to all the modern questions can be found in ancient spiritual books.But unfortunately many books have vanished in a period of 5000 years.We may not get all the answers because some questions remain unanswered.But our pursuit  of knowledge will never stop.
